PADU Objectives

  • Strengthening fiscal position through the targeted implementation of policies.
  • Producing periodic (frequency-based) analytics to support policy formulation.
  • Achieving digitalisation without leakage or wastage.

Functions of the PADU Unit

  • To plan, develop, and manage the Central Data Repository (PADU) through continuous integration of administrative data from various agencies and updates from the public.
  • To plan and manage PADU data sharing and analytics services for government agencies as a reference and for use in government planning and implementation of related programmes.
  • To plan, develop, and manage ICT infrastructure, including security, accessibility, and system performance of PADU.
  • To plan and manage matters related to communication, publicity, and dissemination of information concerning PADU.
  • To plan and manage requirements, budget, procurement, assets, and human resources to support the operation of PADU.
  • To acknowledge receipt of PADU data sharing applications within one (1) working day.
  • To review PADU data sharing applications within fourteen (14) working days after all documents are complete.
  • To provide feedback on the approval decision of the PADU data sharing application to the applicant agency within sixty (60) working days from the date of receipt of complete documents.
  • To prepare the Data Sharing Cooperation Note/Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for PADU data sharing to be signed by the applicant agency within fourteen (14) working days after the application is approved.
  • To implement PADU data sharing as approved within fourteen (14) working days after the signing of the Data Sharing Cooperation Note/Memorandum of Understanding.
