6 May 2025, Kuala Lumpur - The 2025 Asia Pacific Forum on Carbon Capture and Storage (APAC Forum), organised by the Global CCS Institute, was held from 6 to 8 May 2025 at the Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

As a key regional platform, the Forum brought together policymakers, industry leaders and technical experts to accelerate the deployment of carbon capture and storage (CCS) across the Asia-Pacific.

The event opened with remarks by the YB Dato' Hajah Hanifah Hajar Taib, Deputy Minister of Economy, followed by a panel session featuring the YBhg. Dato' Ts V. Valluvan Veloo, Deputy Secretary General (Macro), Ministry of Economy. Throughout the forum, participants explored CCS policy development, financing models and technology pathways, while fostering collaboration to build CCS value chains critical for the region’s net-zero ambitions.
